Common Questions

We keep our prices low by utilizing modern technologies like our flight simulator and our superior scheduling app, which allows us to operate more efficiently, without the need for an excessive fleet of aircraft.

It depends on how often you are able to fly and each student’s ability to learn. If you’re able to fly at least once a week, a student should be able to get their rating within nine months. Flying two or more times a week should get a student their license at around six months.

A Discovery Flight is a great opportunity to see what flying is all about, but we also offer introductory flight simulator lessons, which will already teach you some of the fundamentals.

We accept credit cards and cash. Students can either pay as they go, or put money on their account and we then deduct after each lesson, keeping track of your balance.

For students interested in financing their flight training, we recommend AOPA’s Flight Training Finance.

Another cost-effective financing option is a 0% APR credit card. These credit cards offer no interest for 9-18 months, which allows you to pay off your balance over time. For example, suppose you are approved for a credit card with 0% APR for 18 months, and a credit-line of $8,000. You can then make a $8,000 payment with your card, which will be applied to your account with Wolf, and pay off the card over 18 months ($8,000 / 18 = $444/month).

If students decide to finance their flight training, Wolf Aviation Network is not responsible for any fees/charges incurred by the student from their financing provider (i.e. late/missed payments, etc).

Yes – the AirWolf XT Flight Simulator is FAA Approved as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD), which allows students to log hours towards their ratings.

  • Private Pilot License – 2.5 hours
  • Instrument Rating    – 20 hours
  • Commercial Rating  – 50 hours
  • Maintain ALL Instrument Currency Requirements
  • Complete majority of Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC)

There are several additional requirements not included in the estimated prices:

  1. Medical Examination
  2. FAA Written Test at testing facility
  3. We suggest King’s School or Sporty’s Pilot study courses, which are independent of Wolf Aviation Network
  4. Optional books and other study material

Our unique scheduling app allows us to schedule students more efficiently, and with two aircraft and one flight simulator in our fleet, we are able to work around our students’ schedules and avoid scheduling conflicts.

Wolf Aviation Network is a fully inclusive Flight school, offering barrier-free access to historically marginalized communities. Our lower rates are giving more students the opportunity to fulfill their dreams and nurture their talents in aviation.
